DP Rainbow

Due to the variety of species we have in our waters; Rainbow trout, Lake trout, Largemouth perch and Patagonian silversides, we have several spawn runs through the season.

From the lodge we access all four rivers that flow on to the Cochrane lake system, which is connected to the Pacific ocean and the waters at Base camp. 6 & 8 weight rods with both floating and sinking tips work for our area.

The lodge has 9 private cabanas. On a separate building we have the diningroom, livingroom and reading room. Protected from the winds by an alamo plantation we can joy the outdoors sitting area for most of the season.

Meals at the lodge deserve a chapter apart, the chef prides himself presenting us with the most creative dishes in this wild environment. Daily schedule starts at 7:00 breakfast at 7:30 to leave the lodge by 8:00, lunch is served by the water, wrapping it up by 6:30 back to the lodge for cocktails and dinner.

Several carriers serve Buenos Aires daily. Aerolineas Argentinas - United - LATAM - AA & Delta. From Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles & DFW. We can assist you with transfers between the international and domestic airports in Buenos Aires. The town of Calafate is served by several flights a day from BA and Córdoba. The lodge is 7 hours away by car, 1.15 hour charter flights can be arranged to a nearby landing strip. We can assist you with hotels and visits to the magnificent glaciers in the area.

Daily temperatures range from the mid 40°F to the mid 60°F. With windy days bringing down the wind chill factor.
